How Does Psilocybin Help Clients With Trauma?
Psychedelics, like psilocybin, enhance neuroplasticity and allow the brain to form new connections, which may help clients to:

-
Process traumatic memories
-
Increase emotional empathy
-
Feel more connected

These and other responses to psilocybin may help people who have experienced trauma work through those difficult memories and emotions and find a new perspective.

Our Process for Psilocybin Treatment for Trauma
At Oregon Psychedelic Solutions, we understand that seeking trauma support is an immensely personal journey. Our team of compassionate, licensed facilitators come from diverse backgrounds and have unique specialties to help guide our clients.
We encourage clients to connect with our facilitators to learn which may be the right fit, scheduling a consultation with those you are considering working with before making your decision.
Begin Your Path To Healing
After choosing your facilitator, you’ll work together and follow these general steps for your psilocybin journey at our Portland service center.
Preparation & Orientation
This first step includes:

-
Reviewing and completing the state-required paperwork
-
Discussing your intentions and goals
-
Receiving guidance to help you choose your psilocybin dosage

This session typically takes about two hours and can be completed via Zoom.
Administration Session
During step two, you and your facilitator will settle into one of our tranquil rooms, where you will receive your psilocybin dose.
After consuming the psilocybin, relax to your personalized playlist with a comfortable, soothing eye mask.
The duration of this session will vary depending on your dose but is typically 5-6 hours.
Integration Session
The final step is a follow-up conducted within a day or two after your administration to discuss your experience.
Together, you and your facilitator will explore how you can incorporate the benefits and insights you experienced during your journey into your daily life.
